The conference venues are located approximately equidistant from two bustling Sheffield neighbourhoods, both of which feature some excellent independent shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes (and the usual chains, if you really must!). Broomhill is located uphill from the conference venues; Sharrow Vale/Ecclesall ("Eccy") Road is downhill. If you're looking for some great pubs and a thriving restaurant scene, we would also recommend heading across the city to Kelham Island, where the conference banquet will take place.

Cafes and Coffee Shops

Broomhill

Bon - a beautiful, calming interior, some of the best espresso-based coffees you'll ever drink and some great cakes, pastries and baked goods. The oat milk flat white is particularly good.

Cawa Coffee - For fresh baked goods, bread, artisan coffees and cool and quirky cafe vibes.

Nam Song- Vietnamese street food cafe. Full of cute lanterns and floor seating and offering authentic Vietnamese cuisine and Phin filter coffees.

Eccy Road

Caffè Tucci - a Neapolitan cafe with lots of great Italian food and drink options. If you want a "classic" espresso, macchiato or cappuccino then this is the place to go!

Eve Kitchen - the coffee's excellent but it would be downright rude not to pair it with one of Eve's small batch, handmade doughnuts!

Marmadukes - the Sorting Office - bakery and coffee shop in a truly unique building. Also do some excellent breakfast/brunch/lunch options.

Pom kitchen - Plant-based kitchen, coffee shop and deli with a very vibey, if not a little eccentirc, interior.

Nam Song - Vietnamese street food cafe. Full of cute lanterns and floor seating and offering authentic Vietnamese cuisine and Phin filter coffees.

Eccy Road

Mowgli Street Food - contemporary interior for a range of delicious Indian street food and classic curry dishes.

The Porter Pizza Company - a top-quality Neapolitan neighbourhood pizza restuarant just off Eccy Road with sustainability at its heart - 100% renewable electricity, firewood from a local sustainable supplier and near-zero food waste.

TONCO - Every neighbourhood should have a Tonco. Snack on an order of small plates paired with a glass of low-intervention wine, or choose between squid, kohlrabi and preserved lemon, or grilled beans with crisp lamb breast, plus rhubarb and fennel bombe.

Turnip & Thyme - A laid-back, brick-lined bistro serving locally-sourced food.

Kelham Island

Cutlery Works - Voted the best UK food hall 2022 & 2023.

Domo - Sardinian soul food in the heart of Kelham. Featured in the Guardian ("They're determined to show you a good time, and they do").
